Screen sharing in PC World Guildford…

Again, but with a new name 🙂

Screen Sharing is my current new happy name for popping in and drawing on their devices. Had a lovely chat with a couple of staff members, as normal, and drew three pictures on three machines in 1 hr 45 mins 🙂

Middle one painted on a Lenovo desktop using Microsoft Paint. Top and Bottom image painted using Fresh Paint app on a Samsung Ultrabook and HP desktop respectively.

Used a range of styli: Stylus Sock, Nomad Compose, Nomad Flex, Nomad Mini 2, Pogo Sketch Pro, Pogo Connect, Muji glove and Dagi stylus.

Sometimes I take a line for a walk and have no idea where it’ll go…

Witness this. Had half an hour of drawing time and a Microsoft Surface to play with so I threw a few lines on the screen and let them do the rest. The funny thing is I always assume that the lines are completely random but something vaguely related had been on my mind since just before Christmas (a friend has found out she’s Vitamin D deficient and is looking forward to, hopefully, feeling better with the help of added sunshine).

So, somehow this came out on the screen (Microsoft Surface Pro/Fresh Paint app/Wacom Feel and Nomad Mini 2) and all of a sudden I’m vaguely wondering if the random lines are as random as I thought they were.

Not that I mind, just another thought mulling around the recesses of my brain.

Taking a line for a festive walk…

No idea why but these lines:

…became this:

Which is at least a little festive bearing in mind I’m delicately balanced between cheerful and humbug, depending on the minute.

Drawn, as is the picture below (Pie Chart) on my Tesco Hudl using a range of styli and Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. I’m not the sort to give out end of year awards but if I did that would be the tablet that I’d say I’ve enjoyed most drawing on. An absolutely fabulous little slice of tech and a joy to have worked with this last part of the year.

Were I to do awards the stylus of the year would be a dead heart between the Nomad Mini 2 and the Wacom Intuos Creative. Both fab things in completely different ways.

Anyhow, I don’t do that sort of thing so no runners up, stats or so on.

I did draw a Pie Chart, as mentioned, on the Hudl which, again, I suppose is vaguely festive, but not in the normal ways.

(and I don’t normally add on photo filters on upload, but I do sometimes whip through them to see if they’ll deliver something interesting. This time it did so a remix below, filtered through the Flickr app):

If I don’t blog before next Weds (very likely given historical precedents) hope that everyone reading has a wonderful, peaceful and enjoyable Christmas and New Year. Here’s to 2014, which I’ve been saying since about the end of August/early Sept…
